Rear Admiral Rick Williams served his country while commissioned in the US Navy, through which he filled various senior leadership roles within Navy Region Hawaii and the surrounding Pacific area. Rear Admiral Rick Williams continues to support the Navy through donations to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS).

The NMCRS works to provide a wide array of services to the men and women of the US Navy and the US Marine Corps. The organization aids sailors, marines, and their families in times of need, and provides them with educational resources to improve their daily lives.

Financial planning education for service people makes up a large part of the NMCRS’s work. To serve growing families, the society holds a special workshop on financial planning for new and expecting parents. The Budget for Baby workshop helps expecting parents learn what types of expenses to anticipate and how to prepare for those expenses.

The class also dispenses some practical information regarding formula, diapers, and baby furniture. The free workshop includes a special Junior Sea Bag full of supplies for the new baby. One special item is a handmade baby blanket, created with love by a NMCRS volunteer.
